Symposium

Korean Christian Communities in Germany

28 & 29 June 2012, Center for Religious Studies (CERES)

Subject of the symposium was to enable an in-depth analysis of the current situation of Korean communities in Germany in the context of globalization and migration. Korean communities provide places of encounter and exchange, and accomodate not only the first and second immigrant generation, but also recently arrived Korean students into the German society. The symposium dealt with the topic of religious collectivization from different points of view and with concrete reports from the communities themselves.

The symposium was organised in cooperation with the Chair for Church History of the Evangelical Theological Faculty of Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
